Peacock Partner: fashionMOVEMENTZ Interview with Kim ‘Blackspanese’ Goodman

Recording Artist, Makeup/Hair Artist, Fashion Stylist.

Kim Goodman AKA Blackspanese is one multi-talented, albeit busy woman. Kim is already an established Pro in the Makeup and Fashion world, but she’s got other things on her plate. Blackspanese (coined from her Jamaican/Chinese/Puerto Rican heritage) is a talented musician with an album set to be released in 2009. Kim actually got her start in the beauty biz by perfecting her girlfriend’s eyebrows, of all things. In high-school she was the go to gal for the perfect tweeze. After graduating from The Marvel School of Makeup Art, Kim’s career took off. She’s worked with Canadian Director Bruce Macdonald, Recording Artist Kardinal Offishall, Project Runway Canada contestant Kendra Francis, and mega cosmetic lines such as MAC and L’Oreal.

fashionMOVEMENTZ’s Nike Onile caught up with the Toronto native for a chat about her successes and goals.

A Peacock Affairs Production... The Press: THE TODAY NEWSPAPER - Stile Diva's EnBlanc Party was SUPER HOT

Today Newspaper

GREAT BAY—Not even the rain could have stopped the ‘All White’ party to bring the curtain down on the second Caribbean World beauty and Barber Trade Show, (CWBBT) at the Holland House last Friday evening. For Stacy Violenes and Shereen Ashman, the brains behind the hosting of the trade show on St Maarten, the night’s proceedings could not have been better and it was a perfect opportunity for the visiting delegation from Canada to relax, St Maarten style.

‘One White Chic’ a local band started things off to usher in the party goers until DJ Outcast, took things into his own musical hands. To add international flavor to the party, GQ Henderson, a DJ out of Ontario Canada introduced his compatriots

‘Deep Thoughts’, Peter Cicco and Curtis Kester Ceasar to the stage.‘Deep Thoughts literally brought the house down with his own hit entitled ‘Runway Girl’ and ‘I need money’ while Peter Cicco and Ceasar provided the back up vocals for the songs. When the rain came, every one thought that it was the end of the party.

But the lobby of the Holland House was good enough and with Outcast was only too happy to dish out some old and new music for the energetic party animals.
